In This paper I have provided a brief intro the technology of holographic memory.

In the past development of this technology was halted as parts like laser and semiconductors were very expensive. Today’s technology used for data storage is sufficient for today’s world but with the increase in technology the need for more data storage in compact form and faster data transfer will be needed. Holographic memory provides both of these and now it is also becoming economically feasible. The main working concept of holographic memory is to store data in form of holograms which uses the entire volume of recording medium and not only the surface area.
