In Part I we have focused on process modelling and dynamics analysis. In this part, we will
extend our discussion to include the whole control system. A control system consists of several
elements. Each element can be modelled and analysed by using the techniques explained in
Part I. These individual elements are connected together to form a control system. A new
model, the closed-loop transfer function is to be introduced to describe the whole control
system. Based on the closed-loop transfer function, various control system design methods
are to be introduced.
